I was very proud to have one of my prints selected for this years Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair. The print was 'Into the Woods'. It was great to see it on display among so many other fantastic prints.
Woolwich exhibited work by hundreds of printmakers working with all types of print processes. It was truly inspirational. I visited twice over the week and still struggled to take it all in. Admittedly, the first time was for the press evening and the bubbly didn't help! It was great to see some familiar faces there too. Nel Lee, Bea Veness and Sadie Tierney from Omega Printmakers, Portsmouth, and the lovely Janet Sherwood from Badger Press. To see the 2019 exhibitors go to woolwichprintfair.com
Science and Art Exhibition at The Gerald Moore Gallery, London 9th - 16th March 2019
In celebration of British Science week, the Gerald Moore Gallery have curated an exhibition of artists whose work celebrates the coming together of these two disciplines. I was honoured to be selected to exhibit this piece entitled 'Print' along side some other fantastic artists.
'Print' is a lyrical explanation of the process of copper sulphate etching and a celebration of the science involved in the creation of a print. For once the art work is the plate itself rather than the print that is taken from it, hence the backwards script.
