A hand printed etching of a badger in the bluebells inspired by a love of British wildlife.
This image was made using non-toxic, copper-sulphate etching on an aluminium plate. The plate was cut out by hand using a jewellery saw, etched, then hand inked and printed on a traditional etching press. The ink was applied a la poupée, meaning in different areas on the plate so colours merge as they are fed through the press. It is printed on soft, white somerset paper. It is one of an edition of 50, all handprinted. Each print is signed, numbered, and titled by the artist. Please note, your print will not be the same edition number as the photo.
The image itself is on within a 10cm x 10cm area and printed on 15 x 15 cm paper. Each print is packed with cellophane and archival tissue, has a board backing, is carefully wrapped and posted flat in a stiff cardboard envelope.
