A coloured, tonal etching of a journey through a wood. The lone figure walks so quietly that the deer are emerging from the trees to watch it pass by. The world is so frantic and stressful sometimes that it is important to value moments of peace and silence. That is what I am seeking to portray in this print.
The image was made using non-toxic copper-sulphate etching onto an aluminium plate. The plate was hand inked and printed on a traditional etching press. It is printed on soft, white somerset paper. It is one of an edition of 50, all handprinted. The colours are also applied by hand before a single run through the press, this method means that there will be a slight variation in each print.
Each print is signed, numbered, and titled by the artist. Please note, your print will not be the same edition number as the photo.
